The world is becoming more mobile every day, it is becoming more common for parents to move their families from the state or country in which they are currently living for work, quality of life, or other significant personal reasons. Often a parent’s relocation from one state to another requires transferring the child support or child custody order to that new jurisdiction. Fortunately, there are uniform rules that cover how that is done and how the new jurisdiction is required to treat that “foreign order.” John has successfully handled a number of those cases and has even authored articles and spoken on the topic for Continuing Education programs. If you and your children have moved to Texas and you need to register, modify and/or enforce your prior Orders or Agreements from another jurisdiction, John will help you do that correctly and efficiently so you won’t find yourself fighting a long-distance battle.
